General In-House Council and Compliance Director Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Develop compliance policies and procedures.
• Review and revise all compliance policies.
• Organize and develop auditing schedules.
• Conduct regular diligence and oversight.
• Manage record keeping protocols and obligations.
• Manage relationship with compliance vendors.
• Manage consumer disputes.
• Manage compliance violations.
• Provide guidance to internal members.
• Maintain understanding of emerging compliance regulations.
• Provide risk assessment for all sectors.
• Provide legal advice on regulations and rules.
• Serve as legal advisor on major transactions.
• Respond to legal correspondence.
• Assist in preparation of potential legal disputes.
• Provide guidance and drafting for legal documents.
• Manage all legal department concerns and personnel.

Requirements:

• Juris doctor (JD) required.
• California Bar License required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in compliance roles.
• Strong understanding of laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail.
