Global Category Manager, Solvent at Hempel A/S Full Time

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy and execution across regions for solvents & diluents
• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies
• Manage supplier relationships and track market developments
• Deliver on cost optimization, working capital improvement, and sustainability targets
• Support Hempel’s Operations strategy and Sales & Operations Planning process
• Drive continuous cost optimization through market tracking, supplier selection, and negotiations
• Collaborate with Hempel R&D and other stakeholders to improve cost based on TCO
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively
• Travel as needed, expectedly 20-30 days per year

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of category management experience with global exposure
• Skilled negotiator with experience in the chemical or coating industry
• Strong analytical skills and financial analysis capabilities
• Self-starter with strategic thinking and hands-on execution
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
• Fluent in English
