Head of Performance Intensive Computing Engineering at CIQ Full Time

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic vision for HPC, GenAI, ML computing platforms
• Drive continuous improvements in business processes and manage security compliance
• Build and maintain relationships with leaders, customers, and partners
• Develop team members, lead by example, and foster an inclusive environment
• Administer department budget, planning, and resource direction
• Lead engineering for all performance-intensive computing initiatives
• Coordinate teams to create next-generation global computing infrastructure

Requirements

• Team management and leadership experience
• Hands-on architecture design experience with GenAI, ML, and HPC use-cases
• Experience with storage, file systems, InfiniBand, security, authentication
• Experience with compute job scheduling, training, learning, and inference
• Understanding of computing algorithms and parallelization
• Experience using Git, cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), and Linux systems
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Apptainer, Docker, Podman
• Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps methodologies
• Experience configuring and using monitoring systems for cloud-native and HPC
• Good understanding of networking concepts and practical applications
• Ability to determine metrics and usage data for reports and dashboards
• Strong troubleshooting skills and collaborative attitude
