Summary:
- UPholdings is looking for a Housing Analyst to support the Development Team in development and ownership activities.
- The role involves a wide range of tasks, from site search to financial feasibility analysis, funding research, and supporting project management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform site search and program scoring analysis for potential project locations.
- Conduct zone analysis and applications for rezoning and variances.
- Research public and private funding opportunities for affordable housing development and operations.
- Analyze financial feasibility, including real estate pro forma modeling and development cost research.
- Complete application materials for competitive funding sources, requests for proposals, and partnership opportunities.
- Schedule and participate in meetings with development partners, local government agencies, and project vendors.
- Assist in creating pre-development budgets for early project phases.
- Support the Project Manager during the acquisition, design, and community engagement components of projects.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless transitions at each phase of the development process.
- Ensure that assigned projects remain on schedule and meet application requirements.
- Review and prepare financial analyses of existing agreements for operational projects.
- Create analyses for loan, regulatory, and partnership agreements for asset resolution.
- Support funding applications for additional capital, operational funding, or debt refinancing.
- Assist with funding applications for social services grants and drafting partnership agreements for on-site social services.
- Administer funding draws.
- Create presentations or materials to support UPholdings’ community engagement and business development.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, clean driving record, and the ability to travel as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple aspects of a project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage financial aspects of projects.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
