IT Business Analyst Full Time

Summary:

• The Business Analyst assists the Project Management Office in charting, scoping, tracking, and executing projects and requests.
• Provides consistent, high-quality data analysis, troubleshooting, research, and issue resolution.
• Leads both external and internal client projects to address client needs by engaging appropriate IT resources to align with their goals and objectives.
• Partners closely with the Director of Project Management to ensure customer projects are scoped in terms of resources, timing, and completion requirements.
• Tracks and understands resources required for successful project delivery.
• Works on Small/Medium scale projects, partnering with IT divisions to serve customer needs.
• Gathers business requirements and ensures effective resource allocation and management.
• Participates in establishing goals, strategies, and performance indicators for the Project Management Office.

Responsibilities:

• Foster effective communication between IT and external clients.
• Scope resources, including cost, duration, personnel, and business requirements necessary to complete a project.
• Assist in guiding client projects through the portfolio prioritization process.
• Provide strategic oversight to ensure effective IT solutions.
• Use tools and resources to follow up on complex problems.
• Develop and execute project plans to maintain client satisfaction.
• Address issues and complete projects in an accurate, timely manner.
• Recommend project improvements to clients related to desired outcomes.
• Follow up on action items, client requests, and vendor requirements.
• Set realistic expectations with clients regarding project objectives and timelines.
• Keep updated on new trends and technology related to client projects.
• Produce and disseminate dashboards and reports on project status, including budget, timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
• Act as a Project Management resource when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Preferred experience in higher education.
• Proven ability to onboard and facilitate complex business projects.
• Customer-facing experience in analyzing business requirements and objectives.
• Experience with change management processes.
• Proven skills in business analysis or equivalent training.
• Broad knowledge of business practices and IT systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
