  • The company is seeking to hire a Junior Legal Counsel / Legal Assistant for its remote team in the Philippines due to expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle compliance with corporate maintenance requirements, including assisting with corporate secretarial duties when necessary.
  • Monitor and streamline the contract management process of the organization.
  • Provide legal support and advice on various legal and regulatory issues.
  • Review and draft licensing, development, and partnership contracts.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate regulatory risks across the business.
  • Supervise outside counsel as required.
  • Assist the Legal Counsel and Head of Legal as needed.

Requirements:

  • Member of the Philippine Bar (new Bar passers are welcome to apply) or Holder of a law degree from an accredited university (LL.B or J.D.).
  • Previous experience with contract review and drafting is preferred.
  • Previous experience with corporate maintenance, drafting Board Meeting Minutes, and corporate housekeeping is preferred.
  • Interest or previous experience with the payments systems/Fintech industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle corporate and commercial issues in a global environment.
