Responsibilities:
- Work closely with client studios to bring their games to realization.
- Support, mentor, and unblock other programmers.
- Promote project coding practices.
- Facilitate communication internally and externally.
- Ensure tasks are well broken down and estimates are reasonable.
- Collaborate with other project leaders to plan future tasks for the team.
- Design, implement, and debug game features.
- Work on game toolsets and pipelines.
- Analyze and optimize runtimes.
- Collaborate on systems and tools to help designers implement their creative vision.
- Build a solid relationship with in-house and global programming peers.
- Support team members to accomplish goals.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience.
- Experience leading programming teams.
- Proactive inclination to support and mentor other programmers.
- Clear communication to facilitate common understandings among team and client.
- Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical team members or clients.
- Highly resilient to the stresses of changing game requirements.
- Advanced programming skills in C++ and strong understanding of the fundamentals.
- Solid programming skills in C# with a strong understanding of the fundamentals.
- Experience with game engines, primarily Unreal Engine.
- Experience working in large codebases.
- Ability to analyze and optimize code.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with vector and matrix math and good with algorithms.
- Experience with PC and console development (PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, etc.).
- Shipped game(s).
- Bonus points for experience as a technical leader on a multidisciplinary team and experience with other platforms like mobile.
