Legal Counsel, Japan Data Centers Full Time

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on contracts, employment, IP, and data privacy
• Review, draft, and negotiate sales, supply, partnership, and lease agreements
• Collaborate with teams to develop legal strategies minimizing risks
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations
• Manage and oversee litigation matters within the region
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures
• Develop and provide legal training to internal stakeholders
• Engage and manage external legal counsel and consultants
• Support corporate governance initiatives and compliance programs

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Bi-lingual in Japanese and English
• 10+ years of experience leading legal teams
• Experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, or cloud services
• Proven track record in negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
