Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis Full Time

Responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership to formulate financial plans
• Build annual budgets and monthly forecasts with business leaders
• Deliver analysis, trends, and commentary to the leadership team
• Analyze financial and operational results to understand performance
• Provide detailed analysis and commentary on financial results
• Prepare business cases to support strategic decisions
• Review processes and procedures for improvement recommendations
• Evaluate previous budgets and expenditures for future budgeting
• Communicate results and recommendations for cost management
• Provide insights on financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability
• Monitor and report on variances between estimated and actuals
• Gather and analyze data to attribute costs to customers
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analyzing data
• Track data on proposals to inform future pricing decisions
• Assist with quarterly reports preparation for the board
• Review monthly program reconciliations for errors
• Assist with various ad hoc financial analysis projects
• Develop and support Budget Analysts in their responsibilities
• Track key metrics and financial indicators through dashboards

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant analytical experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Significant analytical skills, including data mining and modeling
• Ability to solve and communicate complex problems simply
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills required
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or CFA preferred
• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and financial apps
• Proven ability to handle confidential information discreetly
• Adaptable to competing demands and can direct the team accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to drive high performance in teams
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proven track record of meeting challenging performance metrics
• Knowledge of federal regulations, specifically 2CFR200
