Manager, Revenue Accounting Full Time

Summary:

Datavant is a leader in health data exchange, providing secure, accessible, and usable data to inform better healthcare decisions. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue to oversee all aspects of the revenue team, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and driving improvements in revenue processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of revenue recognition and the monthly close processes associated with revenue accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Support contract constructs for new product offerings.
• Lead process improvements, driving system changes to automate and control revenue tasks.
• Provide expertise on revenue accounting transactions under ASC 606 and other applicable standards.
• Lead cross-functional operational improvement initiatives to streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close calendar.
• Manage and maintain Corporate Revenue Accounting Policies, ensuring regular updates.
• Research and prepare technical accounting policies for non-standard revenue transactions.
• Coordinate with product and technology teams to implement above responsibilities.
• Lead a team of revenue accountants for optimized efficiency and productivity.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on financial reporting, system implementations, and ad hoc projects.
• Assist with M&A integration activities.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of progressive growth in financial roles.
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis or major in accounting or related field.
• ASC 606 experience with working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
• Strong process and systems expertise in Order to Cash processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, transparent, and strong communicator.
• Collaborative working style with colleagues across the organization.
• Strong decision-making ability with good judgment.
• High level of diplomacy, tact, discretion, and integrity.
• Team leadership experience.
