Marriage and Family Therapist – CA License Required Part Time

• The position allows clinicians to collaborate across neurological, sensorimotor, communication, and behavior therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
• Utilize therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of the client, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Collaborative Therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure wrap-around support for families and effective information sharing.
• Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies, ethical guidelines, and licensing board regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication in accordance with legal, ethical, and company standards.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Safeguard patient information in adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice in California.
• Willingness to obtain cross-state licensure as needed.
• Knowledge of empirically supported psychotherapy approaches, such as cognitive and behavioral therapies, postmodern/post-structural, and narrative therapy.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children or families with developmental differences.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback for improvement.
• Open-mindedness and desire to learn from other professional disciplines and team members.
