Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Expansion and Upsell:
    • Own the expansion and upsell of a defined book of business by identifying opportunities to expand implementation of existing and new products.
    • Build deep relationships with key decision-makers (C-level personas) to cement customer retention and drive expansion.
    • Focus on moving customers from single product to multi-product contracts to improve ARR and reduce churn risk.
  2. Pipeline Development and Maintenance:
    • Execute independent prospecting activities to maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
    • Collaborate with SDRs and Marketing to disposition qualified leads.
  3. Sales Process Execution:
    • Follow the MEDDPICC framework to qualify opportunities rigorously and guide them through the sales funnel.
    • Collaborate with various internal teams like Demand Gen, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success (CS).
    • Forecast sales accurately based on buyer behavior and MEDDPICC framework.
    • Co-own the customer experience post-sale by collaborating with the delivery teams.
  4. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and achieve shared goals for customers.
    • Collaborate with Demand Gen to deploy targeted promotions, educational content, and training initiatives.
    • Engage in company-specific EdTech events and conferences to reinforce customer relationships and expand market influence.
    • Support Customer Success and Renewal Operations teams with renewal efforts as needed.
  5. Performance and Reporting:
    • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual targets.
    • Track pipeline health, opportunity coverage, and customer engagement.
    • Ensure CRM hygiene in Salesforce, maintaining real-time documentation for accurate forecasting and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience in SaaS or SaaS EdTech, exceeding set quotas.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing techniques.
  • Public speaking and objection handling skills.
