Multimedia Producer Full Time

Responsibilities

• Source, pitch, create, edit, and produce bespoke photos, videos, and graphics daily
• React to breaking/trending news stories as they happen
• Learn and use AI and non-AI tools for visual content creation
• Work with editorial teams to optimize and brainstorm visual storytelling
• Ensure content meets newsroom standards for accuracy and quality
• Manage editing schedules and projects under tight deadlines
• Test new tools for multimedia and newsroom use
• Adapt to changing goals and priorities
• Upload engaging videos to YouTube to increase subscribers
• Perform any other reasonable duties as needed

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as a video producer or similar role
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Skilled in multimedia production, editing, and photo manipulation
• Strong storytelling skills to convey complex ideas engagingly
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Open to using AI tools for content production
• Belief in Newsweek’s mission and goals
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
• Fluent in English
