Network Engineer Full Time

Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage local and wide area networks.
  • Install and configure new network devices and systems.
  • Provide ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network outages.
  • Submit accurate and timely updates for all assigned projects, project completion updates, and system tests.
  • Work with networking hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, and firewalls.
  • Utilize routing protocols like RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Handle technologies such as MPLS, VPLS, and VPNs.
  • Manage wireless networks, Riverbeds, and Call Manager Express.
  • Administer multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, and network security devices.
  • Work with various military and government network systems, including SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIXS, BICES, and CPOF.
  • Implement and manage switching protocols like CST, PVST, RPVST+, and VLAN configurations.
  • Work with Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) technologies.
  • Configure and manage IP services such as WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.

Requirements:

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required due to contract requirements.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in LAN/WAN communications and network hardware.
  • Proficiency in routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Experience with MPLS, VPLS, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with Wireless, Riverbeds, and network security devices.
  • Strong understanding of multiprotocol routers and multilayer switches.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
