Network Operations Director Full Time

Summary:

Vero is seeking a Network Operations Director to oversee the operational aspects of its network across multiple states. The role involves managing network operations, including NOC management, outage response, scheduled maintenance activities, and customer satisfaction. The position reports to the SVP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Direct management of Vero’s outsourced NOC, with a focus on end-user customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement.

• Management of emergency maintenance activities to ensure timely and effective response to trouble tickets.

• Interface with Vero NOC, local repair/maintenance contractors, and customer operations contacts.

• Prepare MOPs and RFOs for emergency and scheduled maintenance events.

• Track and report on ticketing, resolution metrics, and network performance KPIs.

• Optimize network operations processes, systems, contracts, and documentation.

• Manage materials sparing for network elements and track inventory.

• Manage on-call schedule for Vero Operations team.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in fiber network operations, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

• Thorough understanding of fiber network troubleshooting, lit services, and repair/maintenance procedures.

• Experience preparing MOPs for scheduled maintenance activities.

• Strong communication skills, especially with high-profile customers during emergency events.

• BS degree preferred.
