North American Sales Manager – Rental and Outdoor Products Full Time

Summary:

• The strategic sales role is essential for Planar’s engagement in the prospective rental and staging market.
• This role focuses on growing rental partners, consultants, end-users, and key decision-makers interested in Planar/Leyard LED products.
• Responsibilities include building business strategies and facilitating market growth.

Responsibilities:

• Set up business strategies and execute plans with new partners.
• Identify team members, assess strengths and weaknesses, and engage the rental and staging market to generate income.
• Manage inside sales support and ensure Salesforce data is accurately logged and confirmed.
• Oversee price negotiation using the standard Planar Salesforce price book.
• Provide product guidance and technical support for applications.
• Identify optimal routes for projects and manage teams to address challenges diplomatically.
• Develop a comprehensive business plan to achieve revenue targets with clear strategies and required tools.
• Support product development by providing feedback on competitor products and recommendations for future products.
• Maintain an updated Salesforce database and a live market map of key players and designers.
• Develop market presentations and drive marketing campaigns to support market growth.
• Manage key accounts, including rental and fixed installation projects, and lead supporting teams.
• Engage key individuals at various companies to grow business.
• Organize special promotions and activities with partners.
• Demonstrate extensive product knowledge to support business growth.

Requirements:

• Proficient in English (native speaker or high proficiency).
• Relevant education in sales, business, administration, or a technical field.
• Interest in technology with the ability to learn and interpret product specifications.
• At least 5 years of business experience in the rental and staging industry.
• Technology sales experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and business-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional administration and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
• Willingness to work overtime or odd hours when necessary.
• Remote role requiring extensive business travel.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a properly insured personal car.
