Summary

The Occupational Health Specialist at the State of Minnesota supports HR operations within the Department of Human Services. This role enhances occupational health compliance and policy implementation, backed by a state committed to equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and administering infectious disease and occupational health processes.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with infectious disease and occupational health requirements.
• Facilitate the Human Resources component of DCT Occupational Health-related policies and participating in workgroups.

Requirements

• One (1) years’ experience with collecting information/data, auditing and verifying the accuracy of the data.
• Customer Service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person and business-to-business environment, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence.
• Data Entry skills sufficient to input data quickly and accurately, ensuring entry is completed by deadlines.
• Database management skills sufficient to navigate and utilize multiple database systems and applications.
• Skilled at using MS Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures (preferred).
• Human Resources experience (preferred).
• Experience collaborating and communicating effectively within remote work environment (preferred).
• Experience conducting risk assessment and/or knowledge of data privacy requirements (preferred).
