OPS Journal Coordinator Temporary

Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor incoming journal submissions.
• Manage editorial calendar and track content.
• Track open peer review process and contact reviewers.
• Work with editorial board on article placement.
• Organize submissions and coordinate with authors.
• Develop production schedules and ensure timely delivery.
• Update and maintain the journal website.
• Initially review author manuscripts for guidelines.
• Proofread and format articles into journal template.
• Coordinate communication between authors and reviewers.
• Monitor publishing trends.
• Assist editor with writing review letters.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the editor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 6 years of experience.
• Able to work up to 10 hours per week.
• Knowledge of arts in health scholarly fields.
• Proficiency in email and teams-based communication.
• Ability to collaborate and correspond effectively.
• Proven attention to detail and initiative.
• Experience in proofreading and APA-style editing.
• Ability to synthesize feedback into revision suggestions.
• Experience with publishing management systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and programs.
• Evidence of promoting pluralism and open discourse.

Benefits:

• $24 – 26 hourly salary.
