Outside Property Technical Specialist Full Time

Responsibilities

• Handle 1st party property claims of high severity and complexity
• Complete field inspection of losses with damage scope and estimates
• Investigate and evaluate facts to determine coverage and liability
• Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves
• Determine appropriate settlement amounts and negotiate settlements
• Write denial letters, Reservation of Rights, and complex correspondence
• Assess damages and manage through cost evaluation tools
• Meet quality standards and maintain claim documentation
• Manage file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases
• Provide excellent customer service and manage claims compliance
• Refer claims to Travelers Investigative Services or Subrogation Unit
• Perform administrative functions as required
• Provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced claim professionals
• Participate in Catastrophe Response Program and travel as needed
• Secure and maintain company credit card and insurance license

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three years of Personal or Business Insurance Property claim handling
• Valid driver’s license required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• General knowledge of Xactimate preferred
• Advanced interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Advanced negotiation, communication, and investigative skills
• Ability to work independently and analyze coverage and damages
