Responsibilities
- Approves loans within specified limits or refers applications to senior management
- Contributes to mortgage loan strategic plans and resolves operational issues
- Attracts new mortgage loan applications by developing community relationships
- Examines applications, estimates creditworthiness, and calculates repayment risk
- Monitors collection, verification, and completion of loan documentation
- Participates in educational opportunities and professional organizations
- Attends chamber and civic meetings to expand network contacts
- Maintains knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loan rules and regulations
- Keeps mortgage loan information confidential
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Prior lending experience
- Call center experience
- Sales and service-oriented
- Proficient in MS Office and mortgage software
- Knowledge of lending procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
- Professionalism
