Responsibilities:
- Promptly address patient phone calls in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Document patient requests in Veradigm EHR to communicate with clinical teams.
- Transfer business calls or requests to internal resources or divisions.
- Ensure patient satisfaction through prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional service.
- Coordinate STAT appointment scheduling through communication tools like phone and Microsoft Teams.
- Adhere to HIPAA expectations for patient privacy.
- Provide administrative support and tracking duties as assigned.
- Manage referrals and coordinate with external referral teams.
- Review all referrals for accurate assignment and update Phreesia for monthly reviews.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of orthopedic office procedures and terminology.
- At least 1 year of direct patient interaction/experience in a medical, insurance, or healthcare-related industry.
- Proficiency with phone systems and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience working with EMR systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
