Planner / Scheduler – Production III Full Time

Summary:

Technology Service Corporation (TSC), an employee-owned company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking a Material Planner Scheduler III to support their Airborne Solutions and ISR Division. The position involves production scheduling and material coordination for defense systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.

  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure approved materials flow meets engineering/production needs.

  • Prepare work orders/purchase requisitions based on master production schedule.

  • Advise program management on work progress, material availability and potential production issues.

  • Coordinate shipping to meet program schedules.

  • Interpret engineering change notices (ECN) and oversee buy/make decisions.

  • Set reorder points and implement dispositions affecting stock/work in progress.

  • Monitor projects against schedules/budgets using analytical reports.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Production and Program Management teams.

  • Remote work with some travel required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5-7 years experience.

  • Knowledge of production planning principles in engineering/production environment.

  • Experience with accounting/manufacturing systems for federal government contracts.

  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

  • Customer focus with strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand technical drawings/requirements.

  • Knowledge of research/data collection principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Team Center, Agile, Arena or Product Lifecycle Management tools.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills including data analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
