Principal Java Engineer (GCP) Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and innovative robust Java code for content aggregation as well as for information indexing, retrieval, processing, and ranking.
• Build, enhance, optimize, and deploy tools, workflows, systems to process textual data for extraction of relevant information.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of technical requirements and project goals.
• Write detailed design documents, develop comprehensive automated tests, and coordinate automated deployments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years developing applications in core Java.
• In-depth knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and systems.
• E2E software development lifecycle experience, including building and maintaining production grade software.
• Must have experience working within a GCP environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
• Operability experience (logging, monitoring, alerting, debugging).
• Containerization knowledge (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD, build tools – maven/gradle.
• Must – Experience with GCP.
• Prefer – Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Prefer – Experience with Cassandra or Spanner.

Benefits:

• The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $214,600 – $268,300.
• The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $228,500 – $285,600.
• The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $250,000 – $312,500.
• Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments.
