Summary:
- IREX is seeking a Program Coordinator to support programmatic, financial, and administrative aspects of its Communities and Governance (C&G) practice.
- The Program Coordinator will contribute to the management of projects advancing equal access to rights and justice, inclusive civic participation, and accountable governance.
- Responsibilities include writing reports, managing subgrants, financial monitoring, and supporting M&E activities.
- The position is remote and based in the United States.
- The salary range is $49,600 – $62,000 annually.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with subgrant and contractual management, including due diligence, risk assessment, drafting subawards, and tracking progress.
- Monitor programmatic and financial progress of subawardees, ensuring compliance with donor and IREX requirements.
- Manage consultant agreements, logistics, and payments with guidance.
- Support program M&E, data collection, and reporting.
- Handle travel, event, and meeting logistics.
- Create and manage project files in the internal file-sharing system (SharePoint).
- Compile and track participant and program data, maintaining accuracy.
- Communicate directly with subgrantees, consultants, vendors, and local partners.
- Serve as the point of contact for a subset of subgrants.
- Contribute to writing external and internal reports for assigned programs.
- Prepare program materials for presentation to stakeholders.
- Support new business development by assisting in proposal attachments and plans.
- Assist in researching and developing proposals and other tasks for new business.
- Process consultant, contractor, and subgrantee financial reports and payment requests.
- Ensure fiscal management and performance comply with IREX and funder policies.
- Draft approvals, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Support staff recruitment and attend relevant trainings.
- Perform other support duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with project partners, consultants, or beneficiaries preferred.
- Knowledge of US Government requirements for grant-funded programs preferred.
- Experience in developing and/or delivering trainings preferred.
- Interest or experience in civil society, gender equality, human rights, or civic engagement topics.
- Proficiency in Dari, Persian (Farsi), or Tajik required.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Proven administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States required.
