Program Manager Full Time

Description:

• Search for Common Ground (Search) is an international non-profit organization that promotes the peaceful transformation of conflict.
• Headquarters in Washington, DC, and Brussels, Belgium.
• Mission: Transform how individuals, organizations, and governments deal with conflict—moving from destructive approaches to cooperative solutions.
• Projects implemented in more than 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and North America.
• The cross-regional team is a global department supporting implementation of projects across multiple countries and thematic areas.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise progress of cross-regional projects, including planning, activity implementation, reporting, and contract compliance.
• Monitor burn rates, spending risks, and financial issues.
• Provide technical support and coaching on grant management processes.
• Supervise and develop 3-5 direct reports across multiple countries.
• Support professional development through coaching, feedback, and capacity building.
• Represent the cross-regional team in global forums and working groups.
• Contribute to program design and development for new thematic and cross-regional projects.
• Monitor revenue forecasts and coordinate interim team coverage and assignments.
• Contribute learnings and stories to support organizational/global learning initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution, International Relations, or Project Management is a plus.
• At least 9 years of experience in grant and project management.
• Minimum 2 years experience in conflict resolution or peacebuilding programming.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Fluent in English and professionally proficient in French.
• Strong cross-cultural experience and ability to work virtually across time zones.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and networking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to new environments.
