Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Plan and coordinate testing activities while identifying and documenting bugs.
- Build and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Organize testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify system requirements.
- Review debugging process results.
- Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Maintain relevant knowledge about new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a QA Engineer or QA Automation role.
- Knowledge of technical architecture for white box testing purposes.
- Experience in test planning, analysis, and design based on best practices.
- Familiarity with testing management tools like Jira/X-ray or Jira/Zephyr.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles and lifecycle.
- 2+ years of scripting experience in .NET for web or API testing automation.
- Knowledge of automation pattern designs for scalable frameworks/projects.
- General knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with performance testing tools like K6 with specific reporter plugins/tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a critical mindset for reviewing deliverables.
- Excellent analytical skills for gathering information for testing purposes.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Full proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of testing strategies through backend systems involving message brokers, events, or SSE-based systems.
Bonus Points:
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with cross-browser testing tools like BrowserStack.
- Knowledge of SQL queries.
