Quality Assurance Analyst Full Time NEW

Summary:

• Mako is a leading fintech firm building software to bring asset managers and their clients into the cloud.
• The company’s SaaS platform helps firms onboard new clients, interact with existing ones, and streamline back-office processes with automation and great user experience.
• The role involves working closely with the Solutions Engineering team and reporting to the VP of Solutions Engineering to deliver the best quality product to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regression testing to ensure that configurations meet the standards set by Mako and clients.
• Inspect configurations at the end of each 2-week sprint.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Solutions Engineers, and Software Engineers to understand business, functional, and data modifications in scope for each sprint/release.
• Review documentation related to the business process.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system changes and functionality, ensuring sufficient test coverage.
• Identify and track defects, providing reports on test outcomes.
• Recommend and institutionalize QA best practices, methodologies, and tools.
• Work closely with the Solutions Engineering team to improve existing processes.

Requirements:

• Educational background in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or business/commerce/finance.
• Experience across the testing lifecycle, including Test Plan development, Test Case and Test Script creation, Test Reporting, and Test Data Management.
• Experience in creating test plans for positive, negative, and edge case testing.
• Experience testing web applications on different browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Safari).
• Ability to work independently on QA tasks.
• Excellent documentation and writing skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Ability to quickly learn and retain technical knowledge.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Test automation experience is preferred.
• Experience with JIRA is preferred.
• Working knowledge or experience in the investment or wealth management industry is preferred.
