- The position involves managing regional development activities within an assigned territory for both existing and new accounts and partner opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage regional development activities within your assigned area of focus for both existing and new accounts and partner opportunities.
- Define and execute Targeted Account Sales plans and growth strategies within your assigned territory.
- Leverage partnerships to develop and execute account penetration plans; develop and execute appropriate sales strategies to match penetration plan.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to provide timely and competitive bid packages for opportunities within the region.
- Generate opportunities and achieve revenue targets within your assigned territory and uncover new opportunities within the territory through direct sales activities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships with all buying influencers and decision makers.
- Present a complete product & solution portfolio to customers and prospects.
- Work closely with product management, the senior leadership team, and customers to provide insight on customer/market needs and drivers.
- Provide relevant and critical information/documentation in a timely manner. Must document all sales activities in the CRM.
- Provide an accurate forecast on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products, and funding and political initiatives within your assigned region.
- Attend and participate in development and marketing of industry-related conferences and events as Rekor ATD’s representative.
- Responsible for making sure all work is scheduled, collected, processed to meet ATD standards and client expectations.
- Ensure processed data has been QA/QC’d and submits data to the client.
- Assist project managers to ensure inventory and/or equipment are in good working order to ensure that work can be completed in a timely manner.
- Act as project manager in their absence.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the traffic study industry and ground transportation infrastructure maintenance and expansion.
- A highly energetic and customer-focused individual who is knowledgeable about and/or interested in the transportation technology industry.
- Business savvy to deliver state-of-the-art cutting-edge technology solutions for customers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a technical sales environment with a demonstrated consultative approach to selling.
- Strong sales skills required: negotiation, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking.
- Hunter Mentality: a strong desire to bring new customers to Rekor, maximize revenue, and grow the customer base.
- Excellent presentation skills and a persuasive communication style.
- Strong interpersonal skills in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with cross-functional & cross-cultural teams.
- Flexibility to travel frequently to customer meetings and events. Estimate about 50% or more time spent traveling.
- Candidate must be self-sufficient and comfortable working in an emerging market.
