Research Associate Full Time

Responsibilities

• Conduct carbon intensity assessments of agricultural products
• Develop tools for carbon intensity assessment of bioenergy feedstocks
• Analyze data on carbon emissions, intensity, and footprint
• Ensure compliance with tax incentives, policies, and reporting standards
• Stay updated on tax incentives and greenhouse gas reporting standards
• Collaborate with departments to apply methodologies and interpret results
• Prepare and present reports on carbon intensity analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, or related field
• 2 years experience in carbon and emissions accounting or life cycle assessment
• Proficiency with GREET model and FD-CIC
• Experience in uncertainty quantification and simulations
• Knowledge of climate smart agriculture practices
• Experience with Python for modeling and data analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and spreadsheet tools
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Benefits

• $90,000 – $120,000 USD per year
