Research Associate Full Time

Responsibilities

• Source and research liquid token investment opportunities in emergent protocols
• Create and monitor portfolio company metrics
• Maintain strong relationships with protocol core teams
• Work with senior team on due diligence of prospective investments
• Screen projects by reading protocol specifications and evaluating teams
• Identify non-obvious opportunities for capital deployment
• Work with technical teams on crypto-economic models and security
• Willingness to travel as necessary

Requirements

• Solid understanding of smart contracts, cryptography, and blockchain technologies
• Ability to identify unconventional trends and emerging technologies
• Sharp analytical mind with a killer instinct for identifying deals
• Aggregate information from technical repositories and feedback, draw informed conclusions
• Explain complex concepts in simple terms to non-technical audiences
• Obsession with blockchain technology, web3, and protocol development
• Open-minded research approach and genuine intellectual curiosity
• Degree in mathematics, engineering, or computer science preferred
