Resilient Africa Fellowship Programme (RAFP) Full Time

Summary:

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is launching the Resilient Africa Fellowship Programme (RAFP) to support African climate leadership. The program builds a network of experts to drive adaptation policy and action across the continent and globally, hosted remotely from Kenya.

Responsibilities:

• Support technical advisory work and contribute to policy briefs.

• Participate in GCA-led capacity-building activities.

• Lead strategic advisory outputs and mentor junior fellows (Senior Fellow).

• Support the design of adaptation programs such as AAAP 2.0 (Senior Fellow).

• Serve as thought leaders and co-design flagship programmes (Distinguished Fellow).

• Represent African perspectives in international fora (Distinguished Fellow).

Requirements:

• Must be a national of an African country.

• Demonstrated understanding of the international climate policy landscape.

• Proven commitment to climate adaptation and resilience building.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Fellow: 5–9 years of professional experience in climate policy or related fields.

• Senior Fellow: 10–14 years of experience with regional/international climate engagement.

• Distinguished Fellow: Minimum 15 years of experience with a significant track record in shaping climate adaptation policy.
