Responsibilities:
- As a Sales Engineer, you will be the face of Simbian to prospective clients, leading technical relationships throughout the entire sales cycle in partnership with the leadership and sales teams.
- Utilize your professional network and experience to identify opportunities where Simbian can help new clients solve their challenges.
- Build and grow relationships with clients who are adopting and expanding the use of Simbian, and provide feedback to the product management team.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing technical expertise, answering questions, demonstrating capabilities, and explaining Simbian’s current and future vision during interactions with current and potential clients.
- Work closely with sales, leadership, marketing, support, customer success, and engineering teams to drive deals through the sales pipeline and report on regional trends to leadership and product management.
- Provide advice on new use cases, integrations, partnerships, and play a key role in defining and executing Simbian’s market development strategy.

Requirements:
- Proactive and responsible, with the ability to take full ownership of problems and drive them to completion while utilizing company resources as necessary.
- Passionate about providing service to clients and possess strong technical, analytical, and sales skills.
- Flexible and capable of working in a rapidly changing and highly distributed global company across time zones.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English, with the ability to converse professionally in both languages.
- General knowledge and experience with the use of at least one generative AI system (e.g., OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Co-Pilot).
- Experience in working with clients to take a consultative approach to cybersecurity challenges and guiding them to new technologies or processes.
- Sales experience in one or more areas of security operations, log management, application security, or security compliance.
- Experience selling emerging technologies to new markets and the ability to help clients identify cost-saving opportunities by creating budget opportunities through new technologies or processes.
