Sales Manager, Advertising Full Time

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue for a portfolio of AIChE advertising options by generating new leads, adding opportunities to the sales pipeline and closing sales.
• Maintain and expand business with current AIChE advertisers.
• Identify and prospect new companies and market segments to advertise.
• Seek opportunities to develop new advertising products that increase revenue at AIChE.
• Coordinate the delivery of advertising with CEP staff and others at AIChE.
• Collaborate with AIChE staff to leverage existing relationships.
• Strengthen and develop relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.
• Increase Recruitment revenue, which includes the AIChE job board, CEP classified advertising, the Annual Student Conference career fair, and other conference career fairs.
• Additional assigned work as determined by Associate Director of Sales.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years proven sales experience as sales representative in media sales.
• Experience with or knowledge of print and digital ad sales is desirable.
• Must have previous research and cold calling experience and strong closing skills.
• Ability to research and generate potential sales leads.
• Proven track record in selling high-end solutions and products to key decision makers.
• Strong organizational skills and a self-starter.
• Ability to build strong client relationships through active listening and consultative sales.
• Ability to write strategic, integrated proposals for advertisers.
• Aggressive, goal-oriented individual who can work independently and must possess superior people skills.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with the following programs (Microsoft Office, Salesforce).
• While this is a remote role, this role requires travel to the NY office 2-4 days a month after the initial training period.
