Summary:
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for sales and business development of SPXFLOW Mixer brands, products, and services in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Ghana and West Africa.
- The role involves proactive interaction with existing and new customers to expand the customer base, generate leads, and achieve sales targets.
- The Sales Manager will develop and implement strategies to grow sales and profitability with existing customers and support the sales team and channel partner network.
- Extensive travel across the Sub-Saharan African region, particularly in industries like Mining & Minerals Processing, Chemical, Oil & Gas, and Nutrition & Health, is required.
Responsibilities:
- Sell and promote SPXFLOW Mixers brands, products, spares, and services in assigned territories, either directly to customers or via local agents/distributors.
- Communicate with existing and potential customers to generate leads and opportunities.
- Conduct on-site meetings with customers to understand requirements, obtain order commitment, finalize designs, and resolve complaints.
- Coordinate with the Service Operations team to support customers with equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Collaborate with Field Service Technicians for site visits, plant audits, and service work.
- Develop relationships with existing and potential customers and EPCs.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with SPXFLOW products and services.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and action plans.
- Deliver sales and technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the Finance/Accounts team regarding customer and supplier accounts.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars.
- Represent the company professionally and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Willingness for extensive travel in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Ghana and West Africa.
- Strong expertise in mixers/rotating products and mixing processes.
- Experience and relationships within the Mining and Minerals Processing Industry.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences and technical levels.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decisions.
- Creative thinker with in-depth engineering knowledge to solve problems.
- Ability to define problems, assess risks, and develop recommendations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and track record of meeting high performance standards.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and independent with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid South African Driving License and Passport.
