- The company is seeking a Sales Professional – Polymers in East Africa to manage sales, customer relationships, and market share growth within the polymers sector.
Responsibilities:
- Generate sales, achieve targets, and collect payments within timelines.
- Manage, retain, and grow sales, increasing market share with existing customers.
- Develop and manage customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities.
- Negotiate the terms of contracts and close sales deals.
- Gather market intelligence, monitor competitors’ activities, and provide feedback on buying/price trends.
- Forecast, prepare budgets, and achieve targets as per budget.
- Manage regular order flow according to budget.
- Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Conduct extensive visits to existing and potential customers to generate new business.
- Identify product improvements by staying current on industry trends and market developments.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and establishing personal networks.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven ability and business domain expertise is a must.
- Proactive and able to negotiate and close deals independently.
- Strong client relationship skills to grow business.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Team player who encourages collaboration and works cohesively with all teams.
- Willingness to extensively travel to cover the geography of the assigned territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering preferred.
- Experience in polymer sales and work experience in East Africa is highly preferred.
