Sanctions Operations Lead, Square Full Time

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Square’s Sanctions program
• Manage a team of in-house Sanctions analysts and provide oversight
• Guide strategic planning with Compliance teams and Global Sanction team
• Enhance sanction screening controls through automation and machine learning
• Conduct reviews and prepare responses to regulatory requests and audits
• Maintain watchlists and sanctions documentation for audits and reviews
• Collaborate with Program Managers to enhance policies and procedures
• Work with Engineering and Product teams on technical specifications for tools
• Stay current with sanctions laws and regulations, including OFAC and EU

Requirements

• 5+ years in a senior OFAC/sanctions compliance role with international experience
• 5+ years of people management experience
• Strong operational knowledge of sanctions operations and OFAC requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
