Security Advisor Job – Control Assessments at Soteria – Security Solutions & Advisory Full Time

Job duties/responsibilities

• Perform control gap assessments
• Provide project management tasks
• Identify gaps in control implements
• Review information system security controls
• Perform audit-like assessments
• Analyze documentation and evidence
• Develop and review policies and procedures
• Write clear and well-structured reports
• Identify regulatory requirements and gaps
• Develop strategic compliance plans
• Develop remediation plans for clients
• Document and present findings to clients
• Support project team with quality assurance
• Maintain relationships with clients post-assessment
• Maintain competence in security trends and practices
• Conduct client interviews
• Assess business platforms for secure configurations
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality for client information

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity
• 2+ years of cybersecurity consulting experience
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CMMC, ISO 27001, CIS Controls
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills a plus
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a background check
