Summary:
- Convene is expanding its ESG Business Development team to support its ESG Software, designed to assist clients in their sustainability reporting journey.
- The team will continue to grow as the market and clients expand.
- Candidates with relevant sustainability, ESG reporting, or ratings/analysis background are sought.
- The successful candidate should have a strong interest in general ESG trends and topics, as well as expertise in data/disclosure quality and management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day hands-on sales execution, including marketing requirements.
- Build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals.
- Manage pre-sales activities through product demonstrations, advising on bid preparation, supporting product pricing, and realizing business plan targets.
- Assist the Sales team with ESG domain knowledge.
- Provide advisory to clients/prospects for compliance of ESG reporting.
- Provide onboarding of the ESG reporting platform to clients.
- Study various ESG reporting frameworks and contribute to the evolution of the ESG reporting platform.
- Build key customer relationships and identify business opportunities.
- Interact with clients, prospective clients, partners, and Convene personnel, either face-to-face or through other communication media.
- Develop and maintain a Sales Pipeline, including pursuing sales leads and prospective clients within the CRM.
- Attend trade shows inter-state (if required).
- Deliver customer presentations and proposals, negotiate, and close business deals.
- Maintain awareness of legislation and best practices.
- Provide updates on sales leads to Senior Management.
Requirements:
- 5 – 7 years of experience in SaaS sales.
- ESG background.
- Management skills.
- Good to have: Strong background/knowledge on sustainability topics in key sectors.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
