Responsibilities
- Close client books two to ten business days after month end
- Maintain working papers for fixed assets, loans, and accruals
- Post accruals for missing but expected expenses
- Perform weekly bookkeeping and auto-categorize expenses
- Use Hubdoc or Dext to attach receipts to transactions
- Handle payroll for Canadian or US clients
- Ensure clients meet regulatory filing deadlines
- Prepare weekly flash reports for clients
Requirements
- Previous auditor in a public practice role
- Strong understanding of US or Canadian GAAP
- Experience with Netsuite and bookkeeping software
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
- 2+ years of auditing experience
- CPA or CA certification
