Responsibilities:
- Maintain full knowledge of clinical techniques, software applications, and departmental resources.
- Use experience and procedures to solve various problems independently.
- Respond to requests from internal and external customers and interact with patients, providers, and physicians.
- Prioritize tasks and duties based on immediate situations using discretion and technical knowledge.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned that do not require a pharmacist technician license.
- Process prescription renewal requests received via electronic messages, faxes, or phone calls.
Requirements:
- Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician status in the state of practice.
- Arizona incumbents must provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
- Minimum two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience or knowledge of ambulatory pharmacy.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer software, especially Microsoft applications.
