Senior Backend Developer Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
• Design and develop high-performance digital services (APIs, automatizations, etc.) with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
• Help colleagues with the evolution and deployment of high-availability platforms in the cloud.
• Define and implement robust and scalable microservices architectures.
• Develop and maintain core business logic and data models.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, ensuring code quality and efficiency.
• Conduct incident investigation and resolution.
• Develop tools for the automation of tasks.
• Document and improve procedures.
• Communicate directly with stakeholders and business analysts.
• Monitor and plan technical aspects of projects/initiatives.
• Guide and support colleagues in their professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
• Implement unit and functional tests.
• Promote and enforce best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the architecture team to define and evolve system architecture.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.

• Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 minimum).
• 5+ years working as a developer, with expertise in Node.js, Express, and Sequelize (a must).
• Deep knowledge and experience developing microservices architectures following the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern.
• Experience with design patterns.
• Experience in testing with Jest or Supertest.
• Proven expertise in reference web architectures.
• Proven experience in third-party application integration.
• Ability to work with legacy code.
• Basic knowledge of cloud providers and their main services.
• Highly valuable to have certifications related to these skills.
