Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines to develop and support Monzo’s banking platform.
- Work in a squad alongside product managers, designers, data analysts, and other engineers to build and improve a specific product area.
- Contribute to open-source software where possible.
- Build resilient, data-driven software and collaborate on technology challenges across different sectors, including payments, security, infrastructure, and more.
Requirements:
- Strong experience working on backend technology products.
- A product mindset, focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
- Comfort working in teams dealing with ambiguity.
- Experience with distributed systems and writing resilient software.
- Familiarity with strongly-typed languages like Go, Java, C, Scala, etc.
- No formal qualifications or degree requirements are needed.
