Senior Cloud Architect Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage a multi-tenant Cloud strategy for Managed Services offerings.
• Create cloud reference architectures for various deployment topologies.
• Document guiding principles and standardize specifications for managed services.
• Assess, design, implement, automate, and document security solutions to meet compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Security Operations teams to define and implement Cloud security best practices.
• Develop baseline cloud, container, and application security standards.
• Develop cost/utilization tracking processes for all Cloud Service Providers.
• Maintain cloud security documentation.
• Conduct proof of concepts, evaluate innovative technologies, and generate detailed design documentation.
• Deliver projects as a subject matter expert, ensuring successful implementation.
• Present technology considerations and roadmap direction to C-level executives.
• Provide thought leadership and guide multi-cloud strategies.
• Collaborate with operations teams to resolve technical roadblocks and ensure operational efficiency.
• Accurately report billable working hours in Netsuite daily or weekly.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect securing cloud solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience identifying security issues, risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• Deep experience with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong understanding of application architectures and cloud refactoring.
• Experience communicating product and service architectures to C-level and technical experts.
• Certification in major cloud technologies, such as Azure Security Certification.
• Expertise in securing operating systems, firewalls, networks, and databases.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like HIPAA, ISO, and HITRUST.
• Proficiency with tools like IDS/IPS, WAFs, NSG, Application Firewalls, and Express Route.
• Advanced knowledge of common cloud services: Databases, Containers, Compute, and Serverless.
• Performance management expertise for database engines (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience with Identity protocols, Threat Modeling, and networking technologies.
• Proficiency in data center architecture and virtualization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
