Senior Data Scientist Full Time

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative search algorithms for relevance and performance
• Develop and optimize NER models for entity classification and semantic search
• Handle user typos and misspellings for a robust search experience
• Build models suggesting relevant search queries based on user input
• Identify and surface trending searches based on user behavior and data
• Enhance semantic understanding using vector search techniques
• Conduct data analysis, design A/B tests, and validate improvements
• Collaborate with Search product management, engineering, and UX teams
• Share knowledge and contribute to wider Data Science projects

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with NLP techniques and Named Entity Recognition
• Experience with fuzzy matching algorithms and spell-checking techniques
• Proficient in Python and building production-ready machine learning code
• Experience with Vector Embedding Models like Word2Vec, BERT, etc.
• Previous experience with Search in ecommerce and Learning-to-Rank algorithms
• Excellent communication skills for summarizing findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong team player with collaboration skills and a commercial mindset
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and embrace a test-and-learn approach
