Summary:

- The Senior Director of Commercial Training will oversee training and development for Field Sales teams, focusing on IBSRELA® and XPHOZAH® products.
- The role involves developing and deploying world-class training programs including product, customer interaction, and skill-based training, delivered through eLearning, live meetings, and virtual training.
- This position will report directly to the SVP, Sales, and work closely with the Sales Leadership Team to align training strategies with corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop training and development functions for Field Sales, focusing on product knowledge, customer interaction skills, and other necessary training.
- Assist in executing strategic and tactical plans for the Sales, Marketing, Patient Services, and Reimbursement teams.
- Implement and continuously improve various training programs, including new hire training, continuing education, and advanced training.
- Develop classroom training programs, e-learning modules, and mentorships for field sales, market access, and reimbursement.
- Ensure all training materials comply with regulatory and legal guidelines.
- Establish and implement metrics to track the effectiveness of sales training and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams to integrate appropriate materials into training programs.
- Manage training content for National Sales Meetings and other key events.
- Ensure that training budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Select, develop, and manage relationships with external agency partners for training purposes.
- Provide strategic analysis and manage expectations from internal stakeholders.
- Design and lead certification training for relevant programs and vendors.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree required, preferably in life sciences or business. MBA preferred.
- 10-12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biologics, with a background in specialty pharmacy and buy & bill.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders across sales and marketing teams.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management and budgeting.
- Familiarity with company legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.
- 25-35% national travel required.
- Experience in Gastroenterology or Nephrology preferred.
- Sales launch and reimbursement experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration, organizational, and operations skills.
