Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor incoming emails in the invoices mailbox
- Oversee financial processes and guide others in navigating policies
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and resolve queries
- Potentially draft and prepare budgets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
- Communicate solutions to senior team members and implement decisions
- Assist in multi-currency payments
- Review employee reimbursement for accurate coding
- Support the audit process, including preparation and execution
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Integrate anti-oppression and equity considerations into accounting practices
- Participate in ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Degree or certificate in accounting, business, or finance preferred
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Google suite, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of risk management and financial control best practices
- Expertise in accounts payable
- Experience ensuring regulatory compliance across various regulations
- Proven project management skills
- Understanding of anti-oppression and equity considerations in accounting
