Responsibilities
- Develops test and QA strategies, methodologies, plans, and scripts for each project
- Reviews project requirements and develops extensive system test cases
- Creates and executes test scripts, cases, and scenarios for optimal performance
- Conducts or supports all types of application testing as needed
- Analyzes formal test results to discover defects, bugs, and errors
- Analyzes documentation and technical specifications of new applications
- Produces reports and documentation for all testing efforts and results
- Communicates test progress, results, and other relevant information
- Takes ownership of issues arising from testing and assists in resolution
- Works with application development, product management, and QA teams
- Serves as a mentor and trainer to other QA Testers
- Actively participates in professional development and self-improvement
- Develops, verifies, and deploys reliable and efficient test plans and cases
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in test scenarios, scripts, and cases
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify problems or opportunities within project scope
- Knowledge of SDLC principles
- Background in automated product test environments; Selenium/Cypress preferred
- Enterprise product testing experience
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently or as a team
- Passion for breaking things
