Responsibilities:

• Work with the client and the team to ensure quality is embedded in every aspect of delivery.
• Provide support and leadership by mentoring client team members in quality principles.
• Collaborate closely with developers, driving the development of test frameworks and engaging in technical discussions.
• Ensure testing practices are improved upon continuously and iteratively.
• Maintain a holistic view of the spectrum of tests implemented to support the drive towards continuous delivery.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.

Requirements:

• Proven senior-level experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Extensive experience working with end-to-end delivery teams to meet business outcomes.
• Deep understanding of agile and lean delivery principles and their implementation across various methodologies.
• Strong understanding of product and technical aspects impacting quality, including user requirements analysis, data requirements, and product operability and resilience.
• Consideration of testability across all phases of the software development lifecycle and deep knowledge of test methodologies.
• Wide range of testing skills with the ability to apply them and a deep appreciation for non-functional testing concerns.
• Ability to enable the team to deliver quality products and services, acting as a catalyst for mediation and collaboration.
• Contribution to the implementation and design of high-quality pipelines through pragmatic choices of testing tools and frameworks.
• Active participation in discussions regarding application architecture and understanding the implications of those decisions on quality.
• Demonstrated understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration.
• Experience with multiple programming languages and willingness to learn new development skills for collaborative programming and pairing.
• Analytical mindset, naturally inquisitive, with attention to fine-grained detail and the ability to adopt a holistic view.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa.
