Senior Sales Expert Full Time

Summary:

  • A skilled, senior sales and account management resource who has strong technical expertise and is comfortable engaging with mid/senior management level banking customers.
  • Provides solutions, product and systems expertise to support solution definition and positioning and go-to-market strategy development.
  • Supports local partner in delivering and implementing Diebold Nixdorf’s banking hardware and software solutions in Nigeria.
  • Reports directly to DN’s country sales manager and will collaborate on strategic sales initiatives to drive DN’s ambitious growth plans for the country.
  • Provides pre- and post-sales technical support and guidance across DN’s ATM hardware/systems and software, including frontend terminal applications, monitoring, and security solutions, as well as our XFS software layer.
  • Assists local partner to deliver enterprise-level sales assistance to customers by understanding their challenges and pain points and identifying business needs for Diebold Nixdorf’s products and services.
  • Supports with analyzing, researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting incidents, and identifying solutions to resolve functional/system issues.
  • Works closely with the partner and their customers, throughout the process to gather necessary details, drive incident resolution to meet SLAs, and follow-up to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees the ATM maintenance services provided by our partner to their customers to ensure they are delivering on the DN sales and brand promise.
  • Acts as the conduit for level 2/3 support for more challenging production issues identified.
  • Ensures partner technicians have attended the DN prescribed training and are accredited and capable of providing the maintenance services to meet their SLAs with their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports DN’s country sales manager in the management of our partner/s and customers in Nigeria.
  • Provides both sales and technical support throughout the sales cycle and ensures our partners are delivering a high-quality, consistent service in line with DN’s standards.
  • Monitors partner and customer activities, making recommendations to DN management about performance improvement opportunities, assignment allocation/workload balancing, and technical capabilities.
  • Supports our local partner to provide root cause analysis, develop comprehensive action plans and ensure timely follow through in alignment with incident management best practices.
  • Handles, investigates, and reports the more complex L2/L3 cases/situations and is the liaison between DN engineering and the partner/customer.
  • Ensures partners have adequately trained technicians and that they keep the requisite stock of spare parts to support the DN ATMs under maintenance.
  • Drives internal and external communication and resolution about reputational issues.
  • Actively develops best practices and contributes to DN policies.
  • Contributes to product development/engineering identifying product improvement opportunities.
  • Provides technical pre-sales support for RFP/RFQ responses and onsite support for technical demonstrations and showcases.
  • Maintains comprehensive understanding in DN products and services and an understanding of new products or services.

Requirements:

  • Engineering/Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education.
  • Experience in providing advanced technical support in the ATM or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of Software and Service solution sales would be advantageous.
  • Consultative sales experience with complex solution design is desired.
  • Exhibit skills, characteristics, traits, and work habits that greatly enhance the likelihood of success as a Sales/Account Manager, e.g., solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, time and territory management, customer empathy.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, strategic planning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization, including senior executive levels.
  • Excellent communication (English – written and spoken), interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
