Senior Software Engineer at Burq Full Time

Responsibilities

• Influence engineering organization, leaders, and product managers
• Mentor, lead, and develop engineering team into future leaders
• Define and maintain overall technical architecture of platform
• Develop strategies to reduce technical debt and increase reliability
• Plan end-to-end development of software architecture and features
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand business goals
• Understand feature break-downs, story pointing, and incremental delivery
• Work with new technologies to design scalable software
• Create documentation and champion architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years in designing and developing scalable software systems
• 5+ years in REST API design, development, and integration
• 5+ years in Javascript/Typescript and NodeJS
• 5+ years in SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, PostgreSQL)
• 3+ years in NoSQL (MongoDB or similar)
• 3+ years in HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks (ExpressJS, Angular, React, Vue)
• 3+ years in microservices and AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Expert in data structures, algorithms, and scalable application design
• Experience in CI/CD, Jira, AGILE/SCRUM, GIT, and API documentation
• Strong communication skills and experience in global engineering environments
